I have been doing a lot of experimenting with mat board and encaustic wax. The textural effects are amazing because the wax is partially absorbed into the mat board creating very different textures and shapes. There is an interesting yet bold combination light and dark, plus energy and motion. Several orientations are possible. This image works well with most FAA products.
